How to get your ADP pay stub

Portal, login steps, common problems, and what your ADP pay stub includes — updated for 2026.

Employees whose company uses ADP get their pay stubs at my.adp.com (ADP Workforce Now, RUN, and TotalSource) or workforcenow.adp.com. Sign in with your user ID and password, open the "Pay" or "Myself → Pay" tile, and download any pay period as a PDF. 1.Identify which ADP platform your employer uses
ADP runs several platforms: Workforce Now (mid-to-large employers), RUN Powered by ADP (small business), TotalSource (PEO / co-employment), and Vantage HCM (enterprise). The platform name is printed on any existing pay stub or in your welcome email. All roads lead to my.adp.com.
2.Sign in at my.adp.com
Go to my.adp.com and enter the user ID your employer issued at onboarding. If you have never signed in, click "Create Account" and enter the registration code from your welcome email or the top of an existing paper stub (format: CompanyName-1234).
3.Open the Pay tile
From the dashboard, click "Pay" (Workforce Now) or "Myself → Pay → Pay Statements" (Vantage). Every pay period from your hire date forward is listed by date; the most recent stub is at the top.
4.Download the PDF
Click any pay period to open the statement, then use the "Download PDF" button in the top right. Stubs are US-legal payroll records with earnings, deductions, employer info, and YTD totals. Lenders and landlords accept the ADP PDF directly.
5.TotalSource users: same portal, different branding
ADP TotalSource (PEO) employees sign in at the same my.adp.com URL. The dashboard shows "ADP TotalSource" branding and includes benefits enrollment alongside pay statements. Everything else works identically.

Former ADP employees

1.Your login stays active for up to 3 years
ADP keeps former-employee logins live for 12–36 months after your last paycheck (varies by employer). Try your existing user ID at my.adp.com first — most people are surprised it still works. W-2s remain accessible for at least three tax years.
2.Locked out? Reset the password
Click "Forgot User ID / Password" on my.adp.com. ADP verifies you with SSN and date of birth. If the account is fully deactivated, you will need the company registration code from your former employer to re-register.
3.Cannot reach the former employer
Call ADP directly at 1-844-227-5237 with your former company name, dates of employment, and last 4 of SSN. ADP will not release pay data without employer authorization, but they can confirm which platform the employer uses and issue a wage verification if needed.

Common problems

1.Registration code does not work
The code is case-sensitive and expires after use. Ask your HR or manager to resend it, or check the top of your first paper pay stub. Format is typically CompanyName-1234 or Company1234-XY.
2.Wrong ADP platform
my.adp.com auto-routes you to the right platform after login. If you land somewhere unexpected (RUN vs Workforce Now vs TotalSource), it is because your employer switched platforms — old stubs may live on the old platform indefinitely.
3.Pay stub shows a different name than my employer
PEO users (ADP TotalSource, Insperity, TriNet) see the PEO listed as the employer of record for tax purposes; your day-to-day employer is the "client company". Both names appear on the stub. This is normal and does not affect employment verification.
4.Two-factor code not arriving
ADP sends 2FA codes to the phone number and email on file. If yours changed, sign in from a trusted device or call 1-844-227-5237 to reset the contact method after identity verification.
